RED BULL: Victim Gored by Vending Scam

by Sean Kelly on September 3rd, 2008

(FranchisePick.Com)  At Unhappy Franchisee, Jan claims she was lulled into a false sense of security by the big name and brand image.  She never thought she’d get fleeced by a major multinational corporation.  But, she claims, that’s what happened:

Red Bull acted in a very fraudulent manner and should be held accountable for involving themselves in business practices that leave so many people bankrupt, destitute and broken hearted. They agreed to be in a partnership with a company that was selling machines (with the Red Bull name emblazoned all over it) full well knowing that you CANNOT FIND PROFITABLE LOCATIONS FOR THESE MACHINES!!!!!!!

Gored indeed! I sympathize and empathisze with Jan who was “shilled” by a big name multinational corporation into producing profits for them and grief for herself.

My relatives who bought a UPS Store Franchise were also shilled and thrilled to be associated with this big name Corporation and were also lulled into a false sense of security. They had no idea that UPS-MBE would USE their ability under franchise law to USE franchisees to MAXIMIZE their profits and their ability to compete in the market place by avoiding the liability and costs of building and operating their own exclusive drop boxes for UPS customers.

They learned all about “brown” stuff the hard way.
