Hollywood Tans is a pretty amazing franchise company, especially when you consider that they do almost everything in-house. In fact, they manufacture their own tanning booths, and create all the store cabinetry and fixtures in the millwork shop at their 60,000 sf Home Office & production facility. So it’s a pretty big step when they admit that they’re better off with someone else’s spray-tan system.

Hollywood Tans to Convert 300 Booths to MyMyst Technology
DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Hollywood Tans, one of the fastest growing tanning salon chains in the nation, today announced it will be retrofitting its 300 UV-free booths with the Mystic Tan technology. The leader in UV-free spray-on tanning, Mystic Tan will customize all of Hollywood Tans sunless booths with its patent MyMystTM system.
The MyMyst system delivers unmatched freedom to choose the Mystic Tan Tanning MystTM that is right for each individual customer in every single tanning session. The MyMyst System uses personal-size mini cartridges designed for one-time use. Customers can literally customize their tan when they choose from a variety of Tanning Myst formulas, such as Original with NutraMistTM and Premium with NutraMist PlusTM in BronzMystTM or ClearMystTM. Additionally, once the tanning session has concluded, the customer steps out of the booth drier than they have been when compared to other sunless tanning booths.

I’ve converted 4 units in my 3 salons to the Mystic system and absolutely love it. Our old UV Free spray tan system had a number of devoted customers, but for the most part, presented its share of issues. After 8 months with the Mystic Tan system, we’ve seen as much as 40% of our revenue from the new booths… our customers love it! The results are fantastic. I personally always had issues with UV-Free tanning, problems absorbing DHA on my skin and streaking, but with the Mystic system, even I’ve had incredible, streak-free results. Really a great system and a fantastic improvement to our overall product and brand.
